SPORT UND REGIONAL CUISINE – COMBINED POWER AT WORLD CUP II

Bacon dumplings, vegetable curry, cheese barbecue, a wide variety of sweets – these are only a few examples of the specialties offered at the culinary market place at World Rowing Cup II in Ottensheim (21-24 June 2018). Moreover, “BioRegion Mühlviertel” has created a dish for perfect energy supply – the Rowing Fitness Plate 2018.

Ottensheim is located in the “Mühlviertel” – the region of Austria with the highest share of organic farms. “BioRegion Mühlviertel” is a concept for regional development, connceting producers, processors, and consumers. Around 10 farms are involved in the culinary market place at the World Rowing Cup in Ottensheim – their organic specialties range from traditional sausages, to meditarranean quiches, until beer of the regional “beer district”.

Organic Quality for Spectators and Athletes
 
The family-run organic farm Rudlstorfer is one of the main suppliers of the culinary market place at the World Rowing Cup. A dish – especially dedicated to athletes – shall make spectators benefit from real sports nutrition. Meat and veggie patties in combination with pasta, pesto and vegetables result in a well-balanced meal for perfect energy supply.  “I am very proud to be an ambassador of “BioRegion Mühlviertel” – we are a great cooperation of regional farms. We only use regional and organic ingredients. Our meat is produced in our own butcher,” so Johann Rudlstorfer.
